Every year this prestigious event brings thousands of visitors from all over the world to see the display of antique and rare automobiles of all makes and models. All have been magnificently restored and are held to an exceptionally detailed inspection before display. Many of the lodging facilities on Amelia Island are running out of rooms already! Spencer House Inn is located only 45 minutes from the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance and we still have availability for this event.

Cumberland Island Ferry

Cumberland Island Ferry on the St. Marys River

Spring is the perfect time to take a trip to Cumberland Island. It is not too soon to start planning your Spring Vacation or Spring Break. The phones at the ferry office have been very busy with calls for reservations for March and April. There are even a few days that are completely full! Call now to get your spot on the ferry. If there are no spaces available for the day you would like, check back often with the ferry office.

Beginning March 1st, the ferry will resume its 7 day a week schedule. A 2:45pm return ferry will also be offered Wednesday – Saturday. The tour of the Plum Orchard mansion is still being offered on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of each month.

Camping on Cumberland Island

Georges, from Quebec,  is making his way to Naples, FL via the East Coast Greenway. He got on the Greenway in Virginia, and he has been steadily making his way south.

Georges enjoyed a nice warm bed at Spencer House Inn as he rested for the journey ahead of him.

At Spencer House Inn, we celebrated New Year’s Eve with our guests during a fruit, cheese & wine social hour before dinner. For dessert, everyone enjoyed Mike’s famous Rum Cake with a glass of champagne.
